The Lakiya Negev Weaving Project aims to revive the Bedouin heritage in traditional handicrafts, and to provide women with the opportunity to develop knitting and weaving skills, as well as acquiring new skills in production and management, in order to apply them in income-generating activities.

Weaving carpets and ethnic cushions are carried out on domestic looms based on pure sheep wool, Oasi sheep, which is purchased from local shepherds in the Negev region. The colors of the carpets include traditional Bedouin colors such as red, black, olive green, dark blue and natural.
