Hakivun Mizrah- (The Direction East) Discount

Direction East is a periodical for culture and literature that has taken upon itself the mission to bring to the surface all Mizrahi literature and art, in the belief that there is an Eastern school in Israel, both literature and the arts. The journal is not only an eclectic hostel for works with an Mizrahi connection, but also a discussion platform on issues of multiculturalism and Israeli identity, from a critical point of view. On a practical level, the journal seeks to examine Mizrahiism through fundamental issues such as identity, memory, biography, language and place. All in the context of society, nationality, gender, etc., and in the context of creativity in its different areas – prose, poetry, criticism and research, cinema, theater, music, plastic arts, etc.
